The town of Georgina offers a rich history and plenty of stories to tell about amazing Canadians and their contributions to our history.
If you’ve ever been interested in Canada’s involvement in wartime conflicts from the past, then the Georgina Military Museum will be a treat for you.

Make sure to keep an eye out on the Museum’s Facebook page, or give them a call at (905) 989-9900. They are open most days from 10am-4pm, but timing varies based on the time of year and whether school groups are heading to the museum.
The Eldon Hall Museum at Sibbald Provincial Park is another must-visit for history buffs, and has been fully restored to its original charm.
The home of Susan Mein Sibbald (1783-1866), a gentlewoman pioneer whose memoirs were published posthumously in 1926, visitors can interact with some of the Sibbald Family’s original art, artifacts and furnishings.
This write-up from Ontario Parks paints a thorough picture of the vast history of the Sibbald’s, and the significant stories behind some of the artifacts in the home.
There are few better ways to enjoy your time on a rainy day than by rockin’ & rollin’ to some of the most popular songs ever recorded.
